  • Further Test Methods for Pollen Beetles

    IRAC resistance monitoring methods have now been developed for adult Pollen Beetles (Meligethes aeneus) using different chemistries. There is now Method 011 for pyrethroids, Method 021 for neonicotinoids, Method 025 for organophosphates and Method 027 which is under review for indoxacarb.

  • Bactrocera invadens – A new fruit fly species

    A new fruit fly species, morphologically very similar to B. dorsalis, has been reported spreading rapidly in central Africa. This new pest is attacking mangoes, citrus and other tropical fruits.     A total of 93 Myzus persicae populations from stone fruit orchards and other crops in S. Europe were sampled and analysed to determine the resistance status.
